Shutdown in Bhadarwah against Kashmir Killings and Restrictions on Media, describe it as complete STATE TIMES NEWS
BHADARWAH : To show solidarity with the Kashmiri people and to lodge their protest against the continuous atrocities and unending seize of Kashmir Valley, members of particular community observed a complete shutdown at Bhadarwah on Wednesday.
The shops and other business establishments of particular community remained closed at Bhadarwah town and its peripheral areas. However, traffic plied on the roads normally. Govt offices and banks also remained open.
The call against the Coalition Govt for their alleged atrocities against the unarmed civilians in Kashmir Valley and imposition of restrictions against media for the last more than ten days was given by Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah.
“There seems to be no end to the miseries of Kashmiri people, as atrocities against civilians by the Coalition Govt and security forces is increasing with each passing day. Coalition Government is using draconian laws even against the media to hide their follies and inhuman acts,” said Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah President Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.
“To show solidarity with the suffering Kashmiri people and to lodge our strong protest against the pathetic attitude of Sangh controled government and inhuman acts of security forces, we have called for a peaceful Bandh,” he added.
Some social organisations also supported the Bandh call to show their concern for the people of Kashmir Valley and to also condemn the Union and State Governments for their complete failure to safeguard the basic and human rights of Kashmiri people.
“We stand completely along the people of Kashmir, to show solidarity with them we support the Bandh call as this is perhaps the darkest period in the history of Kashmir and both Union and State Governments are equally responsible for this,” said a renowned social worker Imtiaz-Ul-Rehman Batt.
Extra security deployment of para military forces, JKP and JKAP was made in Bhadarwah Valley and its peripheral areas as precautionary measures,but as the last reports came in no untoward incident was reported from anywhere.
