JAMMU: Expressing anguish over the deteriorating situation in Kashmir Valley since the killing of militant commander Burhan, Shri Ram Sena Jammu and Kashmir reiterated its demand for separate Jammu State.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Shri Ram Sena President Rajiv Mahajan said since the turmoil in Kashmir all the intention of the State Government has been focused on Kashmir Valley with the result all development works in Jammu Division and Ladakh have came to stand still. Examinations of Public Service Commission and Board of Professional Entrance have been postponed resulting in waste of precious time of aspirants, he added.
“People’s works in Secretariat have stopped as government offices in Civil Secretariat Srinagar are non-functional. Government is almost failed and has put the people of Jammu and Ladakh in great trouble,” he added.
Mahajan said separatist leaders’ writ runs large in Kashmir Valley. The strikes and anti India demonstrations have become order of the day there and the situation in Kashmir is out of control of State Government. Mahajan said if Kashmir is burning and the people there want not to live with peace, then why the Jammu people suffer for their wrong doings. Separatists’ aim was to disturb Amarnath Yatra, which they succeeded in their purpose, he added.
When there is no voice of separatism in the two regions of State (Jammu and Ladakh) and people in Jammu and Ladakh are pro India and live with peace and harmony, then why the people of these two regions are put to trouble on unruliness of Kashmiris, questioned Mahajan.
Mahajan said the only solution to this vexed issue is to trifurcate Jammu and Kashmir State into three parts i.e, Jammu State, Kashmir State and Ladakh as Union Territory in the best interest of people.
Mahajan appealed to all like-minded political parties, organisations and civil society members to assemble under one umbrella and fight unitedly for the cause of separate Jammu State.
