Kathua : On the occasion of Shri Parshuram Jayanti, an impressive Shobha Yatra was taken out by Brahman Sabha Kathua in the town the other day. A large number of people from all the life participated in the Yatra.
To celebrate the occasion, main function was held at Brahman Sabha Kathua from where a grand Shobha Kathua Yatra was taken out which was flagged off by District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav in presence of SSP RC Kotwal, ACR Sandeep Seiotra , Addl. SP &, DySP (HQ).
After passing through various parts of the town including Mukherji Chowk, College road, Shaheedi Chowk, GDC (Boys) Road, Parshuram Chowk , Kalibari Chowk, CTM Road, Hatli Morh, New Bus Stand, Parliwand Chowk, foot bridge, Yatra culminated back at Brahaman Sabha Kathua. Brahman Sabha Committee also organised a Langar for participants. A large number of devotees including women and children joined the Shobha Yatra while Ex Minister Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Ex. Forest Minister Rajiv Jasrotia, Ex. MC President Ravinder Sharma, MC President Naresh Kumar Sharma, BJP President Gopal Mahajan, T.R Bhagat, O.D Attri, Narinder Khajuria, Dr. Dushant Ubbot, Subash Sharma, Ravinder Sharma , Gopal Sharma, Madan Lal Sharma took part in Shobha Yatra. Various trader associations and social organisations the Yatra welcomed the devotees. A large number of stalls were also installed. Rajani Kant Sharma President Brahman Sabha Kathua thanked district administration and public of various community of Kathua who attended the function.
