KISHTWAR: Malik Market Shopkeepers Association held a protest at Shaheedi Chowk Kishtwar against the Municipal Committee (MC) Kishtwar.
They were protesting against un-hygienic and dilapidated condition of by-lanes and drainage in the market which get inundated during the rainy season. The shopkeepers alleged that the Municipal Committee Kishtwar is paying no heed to the worst condition of these roads and drains which has become a nightmare for the business establishments.
The protestors led by Tazeem Malik and Yaseen Malik blocked the main highway and demanded immediate removal of garbage and repairing of the drains passing through the bazaar.
After the assurance by the authorities they called off their protest.
