Shopkeepers cautioned against cheating

KATRA: To strengthen the police public relations and to bring people nearer to the police for better output in prevention, detection of crime and to solve the problems of general public, a police-public meeting on the directions of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi was held at Police Station Bhawan by Inspector Rajesh Sharma, SHO Police Station Bhawan, under the supervision of Munish Kumar, Dy. SP Bhawan, Sumir Kotwal, Addl.SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi.
The meeting was attended by shopkeepers and Dhaba Wallas. At the outset of the meeting, the participants were welcomed by the chairing police officer and appreciated the participants for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting. Many shopkeepers in the meeting praised the work of district police and also assured their full support and participation in tackling any unlawful or untoward incident. Various public issues and problems raised by the participants were discussed in the meeting pertaining to different departments. The participants were requested to facilitate the Yatris in good manner.
At the end of the meeting clear instructions were passed to the participants by the chairing police officer that Yatris may not be cheated while purchasing Prasad etc. or charging higher rates in Dhabas for meal. Further they were also requested to make aware the police if they notice any suspicious person /unclaimed items in the area and help the District Police to maintain the purity and divinity/peaceful atmosphere of Holy Shrine.
