Shopian Police holds plantation drive under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’

SHOPIAN: Police on Wednesday carried out plantation drive under “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign across the Shopian District. The main function was held at DPL Shopian where Tanushree, SSP Shopian and other police officers/officials held a plantation drive and planted plants and other ornamental trees in front of District Administrative Block at DPL Shopian. The function was also attended by Naresh Singh ASP Shopian, DySP Hqrs Shopian, DySP DAR DPL Shopian, DySP PC Keller and other officers of Police/CAPF.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tanushree said that this function across the country is being held to observe “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign wherein all Indian are playing their part in building a developed India, to remove any trace of colonial mindset, to strive for the unity and solidarity of the country, to fulfil their duties and responsibilities towards Nation, to honour the sacrifice of our country’s Brave Hearts. Similarly, all SDPOs/ SHOs & IC PPs also held the plantation drive in their respective jurisdictions and also administered pledge to the officers/ officials at all sub divisions/ police stations and police posts.
