JAMMU: State President, Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thackery), Dimpy Kohli on Friday strongly criticised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government for not conceding the demands of NIT students whose future is hanging in between pro-Indian and anti-Indian slogans.
While addressing the media persons here today, Dimpy Kohli said that Shiv Sena is standing behind all the aggrieved non-local students of NIT Srinagar who are now in New Dehli.
He said that these students last day met Shiv Sena Delhi Unit President Neeraj Sethi and submitted a charter of demands to him.
Their demands include permanent deployment of CRPF in the campus, reshuffle of college administration, formation of a students’ council, external evaluation of mark sheets and celebration of national festivals at the institute.
Dimpy further said that hoisting the Tricolour in campus will end leave taken by students and also give them a sense of security.
It will also send out a message that “Kashmir is an integral part of India, and students will have a psychological win over anti-national elements”, according to the charter.
Dimpy Kohli said that SS Delhi Chief immediately took up this issue with the Shiv Sena Member Parliament ChanderKant Khare who assure him that he will raise NIT students problems in Parliament and will do everything for the welfare of these students so that their future , lives and honour will be saved.
He further said that SS Jammu and Kashmir Unit is also with the NIT students and is ready to help them. He said that Shiv Sena under the leadership of party National President Udhaav Thackery is committed to save the rights of countrymen whether they belong to students community, women folk and any others.
