KATHUA: The Shiv Sena Bal Thackrey has asked the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to deport Rohingyas because their presence in the militancy torn State will further worsen the situation and destroy all possibilities of its solution.
While talking to media persons party’s Kathua Unit President Radhey Ji Maharaj said that J and K is a sensitive State and is reeling under so many threats ranging from terrorism, communal tensions, cold war and now infiltration of Rohingyas , Myanmar Muslims. He said that these Rohingyas have encroached the State land in the outskirts of Jammu city and made their huts upon them and are burden on the economy of Jammu adding that several thousand Rohingya immigrants, who were forced to leave their native land, entered India through porous Indo-Bangladesh border. Reportedly, many Burmese families also had unlawfully settled in the outskirts of Jammu city for the last so many years. He said that there is a deep rooted conspiracy behind the settling these immigrants in Jammu region mentioning that it had also been reported that these people had clandestinely managed Permanent Resident Certificates, identity cards, ration cards and water and electricity connections for their daily needs with the help of some politicians and officials in the administration which is a matter of grave concern .
He regretted that BJP leadership was merely issuing press statements on this important issue but has done nothing to deport back these illegal immigrants. He said that these immigrants reportedly include criminals and are of rebellious backgrounds prone to ‘Jehadi extremism’ in the militancy hit State. He said that Govt. must take concrete steps to throw these anti social elements out as soon as possible.
Meanwhile the Shiv Sena Bal Thackrey under the supervision of its President Pishori Lal Sharma held a strong protest and burned the effigy of the Coalition Government for sheltering the Rohingyas under a deep rooted conspiracy to make this border State more vulnerable to militancy. He said that these Rohingyas after passing six states of the country have reached this border State of Jammu and Kashmir quite close to the militancy generating country and are going to destroy the communal and regional harmony of the State besides creating a demographical impact.
Shiv Sena Spokesman Madan Lal Verma said that these Rohingyas have illegally occupied the Govt land upon which the Revenue Department is silent while the Govt has launched a drive to get vacated Govt land from the bonafide citizens of the State.
He warned the Govt to take immediate steps to deport these Rohingyas at the earliest failing which the Shiv Sena will launch a Statewide stir for their ouster.
Prominent among others who spoke include Rakesh Suden, Block President and Yashpaul Seth.
