JAMMU: To save the identity, cultural and social identity of Jammu, it should be declared as the permanent capital of J&K, stated by Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit.
Led by Manish Sahni, president, Shiv Sena (UBT) Shiv Saniks protested vigorously at Maharaja Hari Singh statue site, here today, holding placards with slogans like “Give Jammu its right”, “Declare Jammu as permanent capital”, “Take care of business and tourist places of Jammu”.

State chief Manish Sahni said that during its last 10 years in the Center and its current third term, BJP has done nothing except baking its political bread in the name of Jammu.
Even during the reorganization and delimitation of Jammu-Kashmir, Jammu was not given its legitimate rights.
After becoming a Union Territory, the business and jobs of Jammu have been affected the most due to the involvement of outsiders. The remaining gap was filled by stopping the Darbar Move tradition. The way Jammu’s cultural identity, business and even Jammu Doordarshan are being ended, it is clear that Jammu’s identity is in danger.
Sahni has demanded from Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to declare Jammu as the permanent capital in the ongoing assembly session. Sahni said that Jammu will prove to be better and favorable for the whole in terms of security and weather.
Sahni has also demanded that the BJP MLAs, who garner votes by posing as the so-called well-wishers of Jammu, should put pressure on making Jammu the permanent capital and bring a proposal on this in the current session of the Assembly.
With the resolve to take the above demand to its logical conclusion, Sahni has appealed to the well-wishers of Jammu and all the affected business and commercial organizations to come together.
On this occasion, many leaders and workers including working President Jai Bharat, Senior Vice President Balwant Singh, Rajesh Jandial , Jammu City President Rohan Malwal, Secretary Geeta Lakhotra, Dimple, Munish were present.
