JAMMU: to create awareness among the people regarding taking drugs, Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar organised a anti-drugs rally
The students from Class 7th to 10th participated in that rally which was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker Legislative Assembly.
Other dignitaries present were Harinder Gupta (State General Secretary), Baldev Singh Balloria (District President, BJP) and Vinay Gupta (District General Secretary BJP).
Principal of the School, Rameshwar Mengi along with incharges welcomed the guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker encouraged the efforts and the noble initiatives that had been taken by the students as well as the faculty members and the management of the school.
Each and every student who participated in the rally marched in a disciplined manner holding placards on which quotations were written against drugs.
The rally which started from Shiksha Niketan to Satwari Chowk displayed the slogans and banners with quotations and tried to convince the people to follow the right path of life by avoiding the drugs.
Rameshwar Mengi appreciated the students for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue with the same zeal in future also.
He also thanked media personnel for the wonderful coverage and the SSP Traffic Police, SHO Satwari and Gandhi Nagar for their cooperation to make rally a success.
