R S PURA: Senior Congress leader Choudhary Mohan Singh during a press conference held at RS Pura said that Education Department’s move to shift the teachers vacancies to Urban area of Jammu, will be a career crushing blow to the students of the rural area.
While addressing the media persons Mohan Singh said that about 60 vacant posts of different schools of the RS Pura Zone are being shifted to Jammu just to adjust the nears and dears of the authorities at the helm of affairs. He said that the shifting of the vacant posts from these schools is a cruel joke with the youth of this Border Area Sub Division R.S. Pura.
He further said that the Scheme like Rehbar-E-Taleem was launched for providing employment to the youth residing in rural areas and a number of youth was employed on the pattern of RET on vacant posts adding that if these vacant posts are lifted from the schools, the youth of rural areas would be deprived of their right. He also took up the issue of clubbed and co-located schools of the zone. He said that about 40 schools of the zone R.S. Pura were either clubbed or co-located with the nearest schools by the BJP-PDP coalition govt. which was nothing but a conspiracy to crush the poor students who were the main beneficiaries of these govt. schools. He said that some of even those schools which had good enrolment were also clubbed. He flayed the MLA RS Pura and MLA Suchetgarh for becoming mute spectators in loosing 60 vacancies of the teachers to oblige the blued eyed people.
He appealed to the Governor to intervene in this matter and requested him to direct the authorities of Education Department not to shift these vacant posts from the Zone R.S. Pura. Others present on the occasion include Sobha Singh (Secy PCC), Ex Sarpanch Bachan Lal, Raju Sharma, Ashok Sharma and Ajay Kumar.
