Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah remembered
KATHUA: District Committee of the J and K National Conference Kathua remembered the founder of J and K National Conference, Baba-e-Qaum Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah on his 32nd Death Anniversary. The function was presided over by Dhian Chand, Ex-MLA, District President J and K NC Kathua and attended by office bearers.
While addressing the audience Dhian Chand, Ex-MLA District President said that Sher-i-Kashmir fought against the autocratic rule and pleaded the cause of fundamental rights of the civil society. He fought a long battle along with his companions and ultimately won it and established the popular public government and liberated the humanity from monarchy. He remained behind bars for years together and suffered many atrocities. Dhian Chand said that it is only the J and K NC which can provide justice to the layman.
K.K Bakshi candidate of the party also spoke on the occasion .
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Kathua also condoled the demises of those who lost their precious lives in the flash floods and rains.
Those who were present in the meeting included Devinder Singh Bindu, Candidate Basohli Constituency Anchal Singh, H.S Wazir, Harjit Singh (Retd. Inspector), Neelam Sharma, SubashChander, Suresh Sharma, J.P Singh, Sardar Khan, PardeepKesar, Anju Sharma, Parveen Kousar Bhatti, S. Ranjeet Singh and Ashu Rajput.
Two minutes silence was also observed in honour of the great leader, Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah.
Meanwhile , NC workers paid tributes to late Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah on his 32nd death anniversary at Sudhmahadev in Udhampur. Various spokespersons highlighted the contributions made by Shiekh for the prosperity of the State. While various NC local leaders also paid tributes to Sheikh.
Lal Chand Mussafir, Rakesh Bhagat, Mohan Lal, Vidya Devi, Alaf Din, Haji Nazir. Mohd Rafiq, Sham Lal, Bhagat Ram, Shanti Devi, Balwan Singh, Mohd Bashir, Sham Lal, Jyoti Devi, Bhagat Ram, Ravinder Kumar, Bharat Bushan Sharma (Advocate) Ch. Mohd Shafi, Rajesh Gupta, Ram Parshotam Sharma, Sayed Akbar Shah, Kewal Khajuira, Johan Wilson, as also MLA Candidate Sunil Verma, Saraz Din, Prem Nath, Hari Goptal, Gurbachan Singh, Manmohan Singh, Cajju Ram, Ravi Singh, Karnail Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Mohan Lal and others also paid tributes.
