Sheep, Wool workers meet Director Sheep Husbandry

JAMMU: A deputation of Sheep and Wool Workers Association led by Convenor Rajinder Singh Pawar, President Ashok Badyal and General Secretary Narinder Singh Dard met the Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu. The deputation comprised of members of the Executive Body besides representatives from districts. The members who participated in the deputation were Banarsi Lal, I.L Bhatti, Hamid Hussan, Shokat Ali, Sagar Chand, Hem Raj, Asish Sharma, Gopal Krishan, Chaman Lal, Lakhvinder Singh, Ashiq Hussain and Abdul Rashid. A memorandum enlisting various demands of urgent nature was presented to the director. The demands are revival of feeding centres, two and a half day extra pay in lieu of SRO 86, enhancement of rent of sheep centres, purchase of standard quality drugs, procurement of vaccines, creation of posts of SOs, HAs, ALOs and Senior Lab. Technicians , framing of transfer policy, confirmation of Junior Steno/ Junior Assistant already working in OPG, three years period instead of 5 years for next promotion of technical staff and filling up of all vacant posts. The director discussed all the demands patiently and assured for an early redressal of the same. Thereafter, a meeting of Executive Body was held in the Union Office and the members from all the ten districts nominated in the CWC were Ghulam Nabi and C.P Sharma from Rajouri District, Sagar Chand, Udhampur; Rafiq Ahmed Malik, Poonch; Kewal Krishan, Samba; Brij Mohan, Reasi; Shamas Din, Ramban; Pawan Kumar, ASM Jammu; Sunil Kumar, Kishtwar; Gopal Krishan and Gautam Singh, Kathua and Mohd Sharif, Doda.
