Sheep, wool workers meet Animal Husbandry Minister

JAMMU: A deputation of Sheep and Wool Workers Associations of Jammu Division led by its President Ashok Badyal met Minister for Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Abdul Gani Kohli and apprised him about the problems being faced by the employees of the Sheep Husbandry Department.
The deputation demanded two and half days extra pay for the employees working in Sheep Breeding Farms round the clock, ownership rights of government rams to the breeders, purchase of standard quality drugs and timely procurement of vaccines, creation of posts of section officer at Joint Director level offices and Head Assistants in all the six districts, enhancement of rent of Sheep Ext. Centers, Three years period instead of 5 years for next promotion at par with ministerial staff, filling up all vacant posts, full 90 days Bahak Allowance for camping staff of field at Highland pastures etc.
The minister gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured an early redressal of the genuine demands of the employees.
The deputation comprised of Convener Rajinder Singh Pawar, General Secretary Narinder Singh Dard, Chief Advisor Ashish Sharma, Chief Organisor Khushal Mohammad, Banarsi Lal, Vice Presidents Hem Raj and Sokat Ali, Joint Secretary Tilak Raj, Finance Secretary Rajinder Singh, Sagar Chand, Ashiq Hussain and Lakhvinder Singh.
