JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level panel led by Shantmanu, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Higher Education Department, for monitoring the conduct of the Departmental Promotional Committees (DPCs) across the departments in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Members of DPCs comprised of Shaleen Kabra, IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Jal Shakti Department; Santosh D. Vaidya, IAS, Principal Secretary, Finance Department; M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department; and Achal Sethi, Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs Department.
The committee to monitor timely conduct of meetings of Departmental Promotion Committee(s) across all Administrative Departments and their sub-ordinate offices, address issue of stagnation and chalk out roadmaps for career progression of members of various services and to address the issue of timely filling of promotional vacancies, so as to obviate the need of ad-hoc promotions and assignment of additional charges.
The committee shall be serviced by the concerned Departments in the meetings, which shall also record decisions taken therein for further action and submission of consequential action taken reports to the General Administration Department for appraisal of authorities.
A per separate GAD order, Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS (AGMUT-2016), Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, (additional charge of the post of CEO, SPV, Jammu City) shall also hold the charge of the post of Mission Director, SBM, (Urban) in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
