Sham Sharma strengthens civic amenities with new projects

JAMMU: Taking another step towards strengthening local infrastructure and addressing basic civic issues, MLA Jammu North and former Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Sham Lal Sharma, on Monday laid the foundation stone for two significant development projects in Lane No. 7, Anand Nagar, and Lane No. 5, Saraswati Vihar, located in Ward No 61. These projects, focused on the construction of lanes and drains, aim to improve connectivity and address the longstanding problem of waterlogging in the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma emphasized the importance of grassroots infrastructure development for enhancing the quality of life for residents.

He stated, “The construction of lanes and drains is a basic yet essential step towards ensuring the overall development of any region. These projects will not only resolve issues like poor drainage and connectivity but will also contribute to creating a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents.”
Highlighting the progress achieved under the BJP government, Sharma said, “Under the BJP regime, development has become a central focus. The fast-paced completion of various infrastructure projects is a testament to our commitment to serve the people. These initiatives reflect our goal of transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a model region of growth and prosperity.”
Acknowledging the support of the local community, he added, “The cooperation and trust of the people have always been our strength. Together, we can overcome challenges and pave the way for a brighter future. I urge everyone to stay united and support developmental initiatives that aim to benefit all sections of society.”
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, who welcomed the initiatives and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing developmental work. The ceremony was also attended by several prominent personalities, including Ex-Corporator Mohinder Kumar, Vice President BJP KDD Chetan Wanchoo, AEE Raman Kapahi, JE JMC Rakesh Kumar, Ramesh Rakwal, Rajesh Mantoo, Naresh Kumar, Virender Magu, S.K. Bhat, B.N. Koul, and other dignitaries.
