JYBT sends 21 successful batches for ‘Ganga Darshan’ trips

JAMMU: The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust (JYBT) has been consistently organizing ‘Ganga Darshan’ trips for the past year, benefiting approximately 1,100 devotees through 21 successful batches of 50 yatris each.
This initiative has provided a unique opportunity for devotees to embark on a spiritual journey to the sacred Ganga Maiya.

It brings immense pleasure and pride to the Trust to announce that, at the request of Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North Constituency, and Mohan Lal, MLA Akhnoor Constituency, similar trips were arranged on 28th November 2024 on the occasion of Amasiya Parav and 26th & 27th February 2025 on Mahashivratri and Amasiya Parav, which coincided with the Holy Maha Kumbh Parav.
According to Pawan Kumar Shastri, President of the Trust, this time, responding to another request from Sham Lal Sharma, the Trust has facilitated a group of 36 devotees (including 19 females and 17 males) from Dharam Jagran Manch for a Holy Dip in the sacred waters of Ganga Maiya in Haridwar & Rishikesh.
The Jammu Yatri Bhawan Trust has made boarding, lodging, and food arrangements for the group at its Haridwar Bhawan.
Additionally, a Yoga Shivir Camp has been organized to enhance their spiritual experience. The devotees will stay at the Haridwar Bhawan from March 17 to 19, 2025.
Before departure, Vedic Havan, Pooja Archana, and prayers were performed at the Sankat Mochan Panchmukhi Shri Hanuman Mandir Complex, BC Road, Jammu. The batch of devotees was sent for Ganga Darshan on a special bus, which was flagged off by Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North.
Prior to their journey, all devotees were served refreshments. Shri Pawan Kumar Shastri, President of the Trust, extended his heartfelt wishes, urging the yatris to embrace this pilgrimage as an opportunity for spiritual cleansing and self-purification.
He emphasized the significance of Ganga Darshan and the Holy Dip in Hindu tradition, stating that this was not just a travel experience but a profound step towards inner peace, enlightenment, and divine blessings.
The stage presentation for the event was conducted by Gurdas Sharma, General Secretary & Treasurer of the Trust.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities, including Gurdas Sharma, Treasurer/Trustee, JYBT (Jammu/Haridwar), Lila Karan Sharma, Trustee (Senior Advocate, J&K/Ladakh High Court), Raj Kumar Gupta, Trustee, JYBT, Sukhdev Sharma, WCM, JYBT, Rajesh Rakwal, Private Secretary to the President, Rashpal Sharma, Engineer, JYBT, Balbir Singh, Field Officer, JYBT.
This initiative by the JYBT continues to reaffirm its commitment to serving devotees and facilitating their spiritual journeys to the sacred banks of the Holy Ganga Maiya.
