Sham flags off ‘Bicycle Man of India’ Mission, vows swift action on park issues, dengue prevention for community welfare

JAMMU: The Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir hosted the flagging-off ceremony of a significant bicycle mission led by Neeraj Prajapati, the ‘Bicycle Man of India. Prajapati will traverse 10 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, promoting organic living, arts, and crafts, while carrying the powerful Delphic message of peace through cultural and artistic exchanges. This initiative is a testament to the region’s growing commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness.

The ceremony was graced by Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North, as the Chief Guest, with Mohan Lal BhagatMLA Akhnoor, attending as the Guest of Honour. Their participation highlighted the region’s leadership in supporting initiatives that blend peace building, cultural unity, and environmental sustainability.
Later, during a meeting with morning walkers and local residents at JDA Park, ward 66 Lower Muthia memorandum listing all the issues concerning the park’s maintenance and infrastructure was handed over to Sham Lal Sharma, who carefully read through it and assured the community of all possible help in addressing the concerns. He reiterated that the main priority remains the overall development of society, and directed the concerned departments to promptly resolve the issues, ensuring better infrastructure and public amenities for all.
Sharma also emphasized that the infrastructure development initiated by the government must be maintained and properly utilized for the betterment of the people’s livelihood. In light of the rising concerns over the spread of dengue, he directed the relevant departments to take immediate action and adopt all necessary measures to control the outbreak. Preventive steps such as fumigation, cleanliness drives, and community awareness campaigns were emphasized to ensure public health and safety.
The event saw the presence of notable figures including Mandal President Suresh Khajuria, Ex Councillor Tripta Devi Parshotam Singh Manhas, Ajeet Singh Bhau, Balkar Singh, Kulbir Singh, Avtar Singh, Swaran Singh Chib, T.C Sharma, Ramesh Bhat, and other members of the Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir and Walkers Association Jammu (Lower Muthi).
