POONCH: Shaheed Dy SP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club Poonch shows extra ordinary skills and won three matches in the ongoing Poonch Premier Volleyball League. Saqlain Tariq was the attraction of the day.
The premier volleyball league organised by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council with the collaboration of District Volleyball Association Poonch under the supervision of Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch, Nirdosh Kumar.
Krishan Lal Sharma Secretary Volleyball Association Poonch and a legend volleyball player was the Special Guest on the occasion.
Others present Mohd Tariq Chairman Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club and Bal Krishan Sharma.
Today’s Results: Shaheed Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club beat Knight Riders Mendher 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-16); Makdomi Club Mandi beat Pinto Club 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-21, 25-18); Manjit Singh Club beat Shaheed Mumtaz Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-11); Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club beat Pinto Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 27-25).
Today’s matches were officiated by Neeraj Sharma, Surab Sharma, Ram Parkash, D.K Raina and Narinder Singh.
Football: Purani Poonch FC beat Jhullas FC by 1-0 goal (goal was scored by Jannu Sharma); City FC beat Surankote FC by 1-0 (goal was scored by Aman Kumar).
Rajiv Tandon, prominent businessman was the Chief Guest.
The technical panel for today’s matches include Neeraj Sharma, Abdul Majid Dar, Narinder Singh, Sourav Sharma PEM, Bal Krishan, DK Raina, Ramparkash Ground Incharge for volleyball, Rajinder Singh, Tarlochan Singh PET, Mohinder Bali for Football.
