Sarbat Da Bhalla Hockey Tournament

JAMMU: SGPC, Bathinda XI, YB Hockey Club Sujjanpur and Poonch teams registered wins in the ongoing Sarbat Da Bhalla Hockey Tournament, organized by Sikh Progressive Front at K.K Hakku Stadium, here on Tuesday.
In first match, SGPC Amritsar beat Roundglass Hockey Club Chandigarh by 2-1. Karandeep Singh (Goalkeeper of SGPC) was declared Man of the Match.
In second match, Bathinda XI drubbed Vijay Club Baramula by 11-1. Aman Thakur of Bathinda XI was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, YB Hockey Club Sujjanpur defeated GNN Hockey Club Jammu by 5-0. Sachin Dung was declared as Man of the Match.
Inder Sing Sudan, Ex Corporator was the Chief Guest and Paramjit Singh was the Guest of Honour in the first match, while Er Gurmeet Singh (retd) MD PDD, and former national Player was the Chief Guest and Sumit Gupta MD Aradheya Aryan Construction was the Guest of Honour of the second match of the day.
Today’s last match played between Power House Poonch and Sangar Sales Hockey Club Anantnag in which Power House Poonch won with margin of 14-0. Sawraj Singh of Poonch Club was adjudged as Man of the Match.
Dr Taran Singh, former General Secretary Hockey J&K was the Chief Guest and Indpal Singh former National Hockey player was the Guest of Honour of the last match.
Others present were Joga Singh former national player, Angad Siungh, P.P Singh, M.S Reen, Satinder Pal Singh Banto, Gurdeep Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Bayant Singh former hockey player. Special team of Doctors was deputed by CMO Jammu.
Tomorrow’s Fixtures: Kashmir Wanderes V/s Bandu Rakh Club at 9:00 AM; Srinagar XI V/s Khalsa Club Gole Gujral at 3:45 PM; and Power House Poonch V/s J&K Police at 5:45 PM.
