SGEJAC extends support to agitating female multipurpose workers

JAMMU: State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (SGEJAC) extended full support to the ongoing agitation of female multipurpose workers of Health Department.
“We extend support female multipurpose workers of health department who have been struggling for the last more than 30 days,” Subash Verma, senior leader of SGEJAG told reporters here on Tuesday.
He stressed upon the government for resolving of their long pending genuine demand mainly regularisation of their salary.
He appealed to the Health Minister, Finance Minister and Chief Minister to intervene personally at the earliest and resolve the demand of the workers on humanitarian grounds without any further delay.
Subash also appealed to the authority to initiate dialogues with the leadership of the Female Multipurpose Workers Association to end the ongoing strike in the interest of the employees as well as general public.
He condemned the brutal Lathicharge of the police which was done on the innocent female peaceful marching workers.
Sushil Sudan, Yash Magotra, Maheshwar Prasad, Jarnial Khokhar, Farooq Ahmed , Kartar Chand Dubay, Farooq Khan, Rajesh Sharma, Vijay Gupta and Anoop Singh were also present in the press conference.
