Seven video surveillance teams constituted in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: To ensure free, fair and transparent elections in Baramulla district, seven video surveillance teams have been constituted in all the seven Assembly constituencies Viz; Uri, Rafiabad, Sopore, Sangrama, Baramulla, Gulmarg and Pattan of Baramulla District. All these surveillance teams will be headed by the concerned Block Development Officers.
Moreover, a meeting of the representatives of various political parities was held under the Chairmanship of District Election Officer Baramulla during which the rates for different items being used by the political parties in the election Campaign were discussed threadbare and fixed on the spot. These items include; Tents, bedding, furniture, cloth banners, paper posters, carpet, sofa set, audio/video cassettes, videographer with camera, vehicles, hire charges of Hotel rooms/guest houses, labourer charges, flags, hire charges of loudspeakers etc. Besides, the rates for paid news (Print/Electronic) were also discussed and it was decided that these rates would be the same as notified by the Director Information J and K.
