JAMMU: People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Coalition Government is Jammu and Kashmir State is working hard on taking up all those important projects which were abandoned by the previous regime and construction of 7000 such separate toilet blocks in educational institutions is one such mission to be accomplished within a stipulated time period. This was stated by PDP leader Abdul Hamid Choudhary in a statement issued here.
There was a clear-cut instruction from the Central Government as well as Supreme Court to ensure separate toilet blocks in each and every school but the previous government didn’t bother to lend an ear to this prestigious and important project aimed at adding to the facilities in schools.
This was the reason why many students even dropped out from schools and preferred No to study.
“Once these toilet blocks are completed the dropout rate would be discouraged and students would prefer to attend to their classes comfortably,” he said.
Hamid said besides constructing new blocks the government has also ordered repairing of 4000 old and dysfunctional toilets in schools only because coalition is concerned for school children and their welfare.
