JAMMU: Presence of Senior Faculty Members in Emergency wing of Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) Jammu to be ensured from September.
“In the interest of patient care, Senior Faculty Members of the disciplines of Medicine/ Anaesthesia Department, Surgery/ Orthopaedics Department, and Pathology/Microbiology/Biochemistry shall be present at the Emergency Wing of GMCH, Jammu after the routine hospital working hours from 04:30 PM to 10:00 PM on all week days from September 1, 2023,” read a circular issued by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal & Dean GMC Hospital Jammu.
“The Senior Faculty Members shall supervise the overall functioning of the Emergency services and will ensure that all the staff including Residents /Paramedics/Nursing/MTS are in proper dress code which include their name plates depicting their names and designation,” it stated and added, “The Senior Faculty Members will take regular rounds in the Emergency triage and wards and will supervise the treatment being provided to the patients in Emergency.” “They will also identify areas of improvement and convey the same to the Principal & Dean GMC Hospital Jammu on regular basis,” it added.
