GCW Parade wrestlers bag overall trophy 
JAMMU: Government College for Women (GCW) Parade clinched the overall championship trophy in wrestling securing highest 32 points in the ongoing inter-college competitions, organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu on the campus, here on Saturday.
Second position was bagged by the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Departments of JU with 25 points. The one-day competition was officiated by the technical penal comprising Jai Bharat, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Sahil Sharma, Dheeraj Sharma, Dr Kamal Sharma and Kulbir Singh.

48 kg: Ekta, PG Departments, Ist; Rupali, GCW Udhampur, 2nd; Preet Devi, GDC Akhnoor and Konika, GCW Parade, joint 3rd. 53 kg: Paheli Sharma, PG Departments, Ist; Shaeem Bano, GCW Udhampur, 2nd; Ishma Wazir, GCW Parade and Renu Devi, GDC Akhnoor, joint 3rd. 55 kg: Yashika Jamwal, GCW Parade, Ist; Nahida, PD Departments, 2nd and Sabina Bibi, GCW Udhampur, 3rd. 58 kg: Anu Sharma, GCW Parade, Ist and Priya Charak, PG Department, 2nd. 60 kg: Shivangi Dutta, GCW Parade, Ist and Jyotika, GCW Udhampur, 2nd. 63 kg: Poonam Sharma, GCW Parade, Ist and Alzebath, PG Departments, 2nd. 69 kg: Sadaf Iqbal Khan, GCW Parade, Ist and Neesha Sharma, PG Departments, 2nd. 75 kg: Shivali Manhas, GCW Parade, Ist; Sadaf, PG Departments, 2nd and Nancy, GCW Udhampur, 3rd.
KHO-KHO: Meanwhile, semifinals position has been cleared in men and women’s kho-kho competition underway on the campus, here on Saturday.
In men’s section, teams reaching the last four stages included GDC Kathua, PG Departments and Government MAM College. The Results: GDC Kathua beat GDC Udhampur by 11 points; PG Departments defeated GGM Science College by eight points’ MAM College trounced GDC Samba by one point.
Later, in women’s kho-kho competition, SVS College Chanrorian, GDC Udhampur and PG Departments qualified for the semifinals. The Results: SVS Chanrorian beat SPMR College of Commerce by seven points; GDC Udhampur defeated GDC Samba by seven points; PG Departments outplayed GCW Parade by five points.
Today’s kho-kho matches were officiated by the technical penal including Gagan Kumar, Anil Sharma, Anil Kumar and Ankush Sharma.
