JAMMU: Semifinals position has been cleared with the entry of BSF Jammu and Jammu Rural in the last four stages of the ongoing State Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakku Stadium, here on Saturday.
Other two teams, already placed in the semifinals, are J and K Police and BSF Kashmir. Now, in the semifinals, scheduled for tomorrow, J and K Police shall take on BSF Jammu at 1:00 PM, followed by the semifinal between Jammu Rural and BSF Kashmir at 3:00 PM.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals decided today, BSF Kashmir defeated district Rajouri by four goals to one. In other last eight stages match, J and K Police blanked district Samba 4-0. In today’s quarterfinals, Deputy Speaker of the J and K Legislative Assembly, Nazir Gurazi was Special Guest, who interacted with the teams.
Among others present were Rajinder Singh, G.S Bakshi, Autar Singh, Manjeet Singh, Ravi Raj Singh and Vinod Singh.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel comprising M.S Reen, Satvir Singh, Karanjit Singh, Iqbal Singh, Joginder Singh, Senapati and Vijay Vaid.
