SAMBA: An awareness seminar was organised by Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Branch Office, Kathua-Samba in the premises of Cadilla Pharma, Samba to disseminate the information about the ESI Scheme and latest changes brought therein, among the cluster of employers and employees in the area.
The seminar was conducted by Branch Manager Ramesh Lal and assisted by Manjit Singh, Social Security Officer.
Around 40 employers and employees and their representatives and other stakeholders from Samba area attended the programme notably from Gharda Chemicals, Alliance Outsourcing, M/s Yuvraj Singh, Bhavani Enterprises, Ruchi Placements, etc besides the host company.
Dr. Navin Kiran, ESI Medical Practitioner, Samba and representatives from tie-up Hospital Kristu Jyoti also attended. Brig (Retd) Kamal Singh Chauhan, GM (HR and Admin) presided over the function.
Deputy Director Sindo Ram touched upon the provisions related to prompt registration of employees and payment of contribution in order to seamlessly ensure benefits for the covered employees and gave an overview of various medical benefits and cash compensations available in the
ESI Scheme. He also apprised the audience about certain changes made in the scheme.
Regional Director, ESIC, Jammu Arvind Kumar assured that the issues
raised in the seminar would be taken up with appropriate authorities.
ESIC, Branch Office, Srinagar organised another similar seminar at Super Thurm, at Jainakote where 35 participants from Warmcraft and others attended. Kunal Kumar, Branch Manager gave overview of various beneficial provisions of the ESI Scheme, besides latest changes therein.
Dharmapal, Branch Manager, ESIC, Branch Office, Jammu organised yet another ESI awareness
seminar at Udhampur along with Dr. V.P. Mathur, SMC and Sunil K. Mehto, Dy. Director in the Industrial Area, Battal Walia.
