Seeking choppers for staff; teacher suspended

JAMMU: Director School Education, Jammu, R. A Inqlabi on Sunday placed under suspension a teacher for seeking two choppers to fetch the Headmaster and other staff to a Sarsundwan school for maintaining punctuality.
Talking to STATE TIMES, the Director confirmed that the school teacher, Ajay Singh, posted at Government High school Sarsundwan, had written the letter using the official letterhead with stamp and forged signatures.
“Ajay Singh has offered his apology for misusing the school letterhead and stamp while writing the letter,” said the Director, adding the CEO Reasi has ordered an inquiry to ascertain further details. The two-member panel comprises Darshan Lal, Principal DIET Reasi and Isher Dass, Incharge ZEO, Chinkah (Reasi).
In its today’s issue, STATE TIMES had reported that ‘Headmaster’ of a government school in remote area of district Reasi had sought two helicopters from the concerned Chief Education Officer for carrying him and his staff to their institution, purportedly to save their time.
