JKNPP Protest (2)STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Launching a scathing attack on the BJP partnered State Government for exclusively pushing the separatists agenda in Kashmir, Panthers Party activists staged a protest against the deplorable attack on the buses carrying the Kashmiri Pandits to Kheer Bhawani fair by the anti-national elements in Kashmir A strong contingent of Panthers Party activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal, State President Young Panthers assembled at Exhibition Ground on Monday and raised anti government slogans. They also slammed the BJP-PDP government for disallowing holy Abhinavgupt Yatra in Kashmir on the dictates of Kashmiri separatists.
Harsh deplored that convoy of buses carrying Kashmiri Pundits to Kheer Bhawani fair were attacked by certain anti-national miscreants at Wanpu located between Qazigund and Khanabal and elsewhere.
He disclosed that the felons pelted stones on the buses during which two women pilgrims were injured who were later rushed to the nearby Army camp for treatment.
He further added that such attacks depict the parochial psyche of the separatists who were hell bent to vitiate peace and erase the centuries old heterogeneous diversity in Kashmir.
Singh slammed the State dispensation and BJP in particular for having a soft corner for the secessionist forces which had further emboldened the anti-national elements to execute their nefarious designs.
He said that ever since the sinister alliance came in force, the situation of the State had drastically worsened and the circumstances in which the pilgrims were taken to Kheer Bhawani at Tul Mul village in Ganderbal amid tight security only reflected the revival of the dark era of nineties.
He wondered on the criminal silence of the Saffron Party which created ruckus in the Assembly over such incidents while in opposition but allowing separatists to hold anti India seminars in Kashmir after assuming power at the Centre and State.
Expressing indignation over the State government’s outright refusal for giving permission for the much hyped “Abhinavgupt Yatra” at Beerwah in Budgam which was organised by Acharya Abhinavgupt Sheshadri Samiti, Harsh took a dig at the dispensation for interfering in the religious affairs of the Hindus. He divulged that the district administration of Budgam at the behest of State Government had sealed the entire Beerwah area to ensure that no pilgrim could reach near the holy cave of the saint.
He said that the BJP partnered coalition had succumbed to the pressure of the separatists and certain clerics of Kashmir which was evident from the unpleasant diversion of the aforesaid Yatra to conclude at Jayashtha Devi Temple in the hills of Zabravan near Dal Lake.
He said that disallowing religious Yatras and changing the names of Hindu shrines in Kashmir were the attempts to push the Valley towards radicalisation and it was a sheer irony that BJP along with its ally were clandestinely endorsing the communal mission of the Hurriyat and the separatist leaders.
Singh said that Panthers Party condemned such perfidious moves and pledged to uphold the secular ethos of the State at all costs.
Kundal severely admonished the Saffron Party for its dual standards and divulged that on one side the BJP at the centre was making tall pronouncements on the return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley with dignity and honour but on the other BJP in the State was towing the lines and philosophy of anti-national forces along with the PDP by creating an atmosphere of fear and terror in Kashmir.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion including Rajesh Padgotra, Gagan Partap, Sham Gorkha, Nirmal Kishore, Neeraj Gupta, Udhay Veer, Khajoor Singh, Ajeet Sharma, Shankar Singh Sanju, Arun Sharma, Kewal Kishore, Adeep Kumar, Narinder Sharma and Rajesh Verma.
