POONCH: People on Wednesday held a protest over the shortage of staff in Sub District Hospital Surankote.
Protesters raised slogans against hospital authorities. They said that there is shortage of staff and other basic facilities in Surankote Hospital of Poonch and administration is not paying attention towards this issue.
They said that protestors raised anti-government slogans and criticised state health department for poor facilities in the Sub District Hospotal.
Meanwhile following protest, SDM Surankote Afzal Mirza rushed to the spot and placed nine officials of Sub District Hospital under suspension for unauthorised absence.
The suspended officials include Dr Beema Sheikh , Dr Meenakshi, Dr Reema, Farhana , Dr Rabia Tabassum , Vikranty Bali and Mohd Hafiz, Raiz Ahmed and Babu Hayat.
