REASI: In a tragic incident, SDM Ramnagar Rajinder Singh Rana, JKAS -2011 Batch and his son lost their lives on the spot after a massive landslide hit their Bolero vehicle in the Salukh Ikhter Nallah area near Dharmari area of Reasi district on late Friday evening.

The incident also left three others injured, including Rajinder Singh’s wife, his cousin, and the cousin’s wife. The family was traveling from Dharmari to their native village Pattiya when the tragic accident occurred.
Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives in a landslide in Dharmari, District Reasi. He has conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the kin of Rajinder Singh, JKAS 2011, SDM Ramnagar, District Udhampur. Rajinder Singh and his son succumbed to their injuries and died on spot. The Lieutenant Governor has spoken to the senior officials and asked them to ensure best possible treatment to the injured and to render all assistance to the kin of Rajinder Singh.
The Lieutenant Governor has posted on X: “Extremely saddened by the landslide incident in Dharmari, Reasi in which we have lost an outstanding officer Rajinder Singh, JKAS 2011, SDM Ramnagar and his son. The tragedy is heart-wrenching. My deepest condolences to bereaved family and I pray that the injured recover quickly”.

Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the untimely demise of Rajinder Singh, JKAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramnagar, who lost his life in a tragic road accident in Reasi earlier this evening when he was traveling with his family.
In his condolence message, the Chief Secretary described Rajinder Singh as a sincere and dedicated officer whose unwavering commitment to public service and integrity in duty earned him respect of his colleagues and the community alike.
Adding to the sorrow, the Chief Secretary also expressed deep anguish over the loss of Singh’s young son, who also lost his life in the unfortunate accident. He made out that his heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family in this hour of immense grief.
He further added that whole administration stands in solidarity with them and pray for strength and courage to endure this unimaginable loss. The Chief Secretary further assured that all possible medical assistance and support will be provided to the injured family members and every effort will be made to ensure their recovery and well-being, he affirmed.
