Script recital with patriotic musical programme conducted

JALPAIGURI: The Book Fair Committee conducted script recital with patriotic musical programme on 25th of December 2016 at Jalpaiguri Stadium with an aim to highlight the message of Jesus Christ for peace, humanity, forgiveness and unconditional love for mankind while celebrating Christ’s Birth Day.
During the programme, Chameli Saha, Convenor and Anchors, Bikas Roy and Santa Chatterjee remembered great soldiers of West Bengal and other states of India who sacrificed their lives for the sake of nation at the border.
The Dias was named after the eminent writer Late Mahashweta Devi who passed away recently. She dedicated her life for wellbeing of the common people. The programme also created a great impression when programme conductor, Bikash Roy highlighted the ideology of all inclusiveness, secularism and woman empowerment established by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Bandyopadhyay.
This week-long book fair is very popular to the book lovers of entire Bengal. Major publishers of Bengal and Bangladesh took part in it.
M.P of Jalpaiguri, Bijoy Chandra Barmon, being inspired by the CM of WB played the pivotal role by guiding the book fair and cultural committee.
This song recital script was written by Chameli Saha, Convener of the little magazine subcommittee. It was directed by the committee member Gopa Mridha.
The participants were Krishna Barman, Mistu Sarkar Saha, Sona Sen, Anita Sinha, Gauri Raikat, Riya Raykat, Dipankar Sengupta, Punyaprobha Barman, Beauty Aich, Rituparna Dutta Roy, Banani Mukherjee, Sanchali Roy, Sakti Goswami, Indrani, Papri Mukherjee, Dipa Das, Pradeep Sarkar, Bikas Roy, Sumon Das and Jyoti Prasad Roy. This programme was assisted by Mrityunjoy Roy, Biswajan Karjee and others from the locality.
