AKHNOOR: Police on Monday arrested a scooterist and recovered 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, Police Post Jourian under the jurisdiction of Police Station Akhnoor, led by In-Charge Jourian, laid a Naka at Taroti, Jourian and intercepted one Scooter bearing Registration No. JK02M-4815 driven by Mohinder Singh son of Harbhans Singh resident of Dherian, Khour, Akhnoor. On his search, police recovered 40-J and K Excise frooties of 250Ml each from his possession. The accused person was arrested and liquor seized by police. A case FIR No.223/2014 section 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation of the case is going on.
