SCOA hails Govt’s order for extension of mining

JAMMU: The Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) has hailed the decision of Department of Industries and Commerce J and K for issuing order for extension for mining which had earlier put blanket ban on any sort of mining from anywhere.
According to an order issued here in continuation with SRO-104 the Government of Jammu and Kashmir Department of Industries and Commerce has issued another extension order vide SRO-269 dated 12th August, 2016 which has extending the period of minor extraction upto 31st March, 2017.
Addressing the media persons, Ch Vikram Randhawa said that the government’s intention was clear but the present law and order situation in Kashmir Valley has delayed in issuing extension order. He thanked the government and the Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga, for his efforts to save this vital unit of the construction industry from further crisis.
