JAMMU: A deputation of J and K United School Teachers Association (USTA) met Director School Education, Jammu, Smita Sethi and put forth the charter of demands.
The deputation demanded repatriation of Masters, Headmasters and Lecturers from Reasi, Old Doda district and other districts to their own districts and also demanded transfer of masters within their own districts, adjust masters whose DPC was made in February 2014, transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers, release salary and other dues of teachers working under SSA, release senior teacher grade in favor of trained under graduate teachers, regularization of Lecturers, Headmasters and Principals, fill vacancies in rural area schools, debar teachers from non-academic duties, appoint teachers on leave arrangement against female teachers who proceed on leave etc.
The Director School Education gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress the demands in her competence at the earliest.
The deputation comprised of Rajive Kumar, Dr. Shashi Pal, Shanti Saroop Sharma, Raj Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Roop Lal, Surinder Magotra, Ganesh Dutt, Madan Singh, Joginder Kumar, Rakesh Gupta, Ashwani Jandial, Saithu Paul and Sansar Singh.
