KATHUA: SBI RSET-I Kathua held the quarterly Local Advisory Committee meeting for the quarter ended June 2014 on Tuesday at DDC Kathua Conference Hall.
The meeting was chaired by the DDC Kathua Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. The Chief Guest was welcomed by the Director RSETI Kathua V.K Padha. During the meeting the working of the institute for the period 1st April to 30th June 2014 was discussed.
It was informed to the house that in this first quarter the institute has conducted 40 programmes in different disciplines and trained 92 candidates and organised five awareness camps in different villages. Out of the four programmes, one programme was conducted off campus where all the 15 candidates belonging to the poor families were sanctioned loans by the SBI Dayalachak Branch.
The house was appraised that the institute is hand holding the trainees for two years; where the institute remains in touch with the trainees to ascertain their settlement. At present the institute has a settlement of 48.80 per cent as on 30th June 2014 which has surpassed 50 per cent as on date.
The Chief Guest appreciated the noble work under taken by the institute and asked all the banks/Govt. offices to sponsor good number of candidates to pass the maximum benefit of the employment generation trainings being conducted at the institute, for the unemployed youths of the district.
