SAMBA: General Manager, State Bank of India, J and K Module Arvind Priya dedicated one 100 Kva Diesel Genset to Kristu Jyoti Welfare Society Hospital Samba on Saturday to help the society serve people of Samba and nearby villages in a better way.
In his address, Arvind said that as a Responsible Corporate Entity and Premier Banking Institution, SBI remains alive to the happenings in its surroundings and therefore has always been in the forefront to provide support whenever and wherever need arises. He said that under Corporate Social Responsibility, SBI has always contributed towards education, healthcare, employment generation, natural calamities, science and technology, pollution control and poverty alleviation, which has earned it accolades from RBI, Govt. and various other organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Gupta, Regional Manager, RBOIII, State Bank of India Jammu stated that considering good track record of Kristu Jyoti Welfare Society in rendering selfless, sustained, dedicated and disciplined service to the humanity, SBI decided to donate the Genset.
Sister Agnes, ExProvincial of the Society expressed deep gratitude to State Bank of India for this noble gesture. Sister Sheril, Administrator of the Hospital, presented Vote of Thanks to the guests. S.K Kandroo, Chief Manager, Samba Branch and Sister Serene of the Society were also present.
