JAMMU: BJP State President and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) started works for covering of deep drains (Nallah) at Ward No 16, New Plot, Jammu. The works will be done under the supervision of UEED at an estimated cost of Rs 10 Lakh.
Earlier, the Nallah was open from various sides and it created a foul atmosphere in the surroundings which caused problems for the locals and also caused pollution in the environment and now after the construction of Nallah, there will be no problem for locals and a conducive atmosphere will be built around in order to make it a clean area and ultimately it will also help in achieving the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi of building a cleaner and greener nation.
Sharma also toured the area along with the officials of JMC and UEED and he also directed the officials as well to take up the remaining works in the area from stage work amount of Rs 9 lakhs of corporation under which several lanes will be repaired and constructed.
Ex-En UEED, Taj Choudhary, AEE UEED Chander Kant Sudan, JE UEED Vikram Koul, District President BJP Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal President Vijay Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Onkar Singh, Balbir Gupta, Jeet Kumar, Balbir Singh, Ajit Singh, Abrol and Naseeb Singh were also present on the occasion.
