Sat launches plantation drive

SUNDERBANI: Taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to build a clean and green nation, a massive plantation drive was conducted today at Dharpur area of Sunderbani in which a large number of saplings were planted by BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma (CA). The programme was organised by Paryavaran Suraksha Samiti, a renowned name which is headed by RC Sharma(Siot) and is working from a very long time to help in protecting the environment. During the occasion, many local residents and political activists of the area were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that during this plantation drive, a target of planting around one lakh saplings has been set by the organisation and many saplings were planted in his presence and the work will be continued till the target of the organisation is achieved.
He said out of the one lakh plants planted, 50,000 have been named after our former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, 10,000 after former President Late APJ Abdul Kalam and 40,000 saplings on the name of our great Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose only mission is to serve his country with full dedication. He also stated that till date nine lakh plants have been planted by the organisation and he appreciated the efforts of RC Sharma as well who is working hard to protect our environment from the increasing rate of pollution.
Sat Pal Sharma President Yog Sansthan, Darvinder Kumar, Puran Chand, Bodh Raj, Dr Indu Bhushan, Mansa Ram, Karan, Bal Krishna, Gillu Ram, Mani Ram, Manohar, Joginder, Ankush and several others were also present on the occasion.
