JAMMU: BJP MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) met JMC Commissioner Soujanya Sharma and discussed issues pertaining to municipal works to be taken up in Jammu West in coming days.
Sat brought to the notice of commissioner that there is a dire need to repair and upgrade street lights in the constituency as the public has been facing many problems.
JMC Commissioner assured that just like sanitation drive the corporation will check the repairing and changing of all street lights with LED lights which will consume less power.
Sat also discussed the upcoming developmental works to be taken up with the commissioner including construction works of lanes and drains, black topping of roads, garbage disposal, daily uplifting of garbage etc.
The commissioner apprised MLA that the department will require 20 autos, four JCBs, garbage containers, sky lifts and some staff including JEs and Safai Karamcharis and the requirement for the same will be submitted by the corporation to the concerned minister.
The MLA assured the commissioner that he will also take up the issue with the Minister for Urban Development so that both the public and the corporation might not face any type of problems in the coming days.
