Udhampur: Goods worth lakhs were burnt to ashes after a fire broke out under suspicious circumstances in the house of Sarpanch of Sarad area of Tehsil Cheneni.
According to information, a fire broke out in the house of Sarpanch Sudesh Kumar of Sarad under suspicious circumstances and spread so fast that they didn’t even get a chance to control it.
As soon as the people got information about it, they immediately informed the police and fire department which reached the spot started dousing the fire with locals also. In some time the SDM himself reached the spot and the entire operation went on under his supervision. After a lot of effort the fire was brought under control. In this incident, goods worth lakhs of Sarpanch’s house were burnt to ashes. While the police have registered a case in this regard, the cause of the fire is being investigated
