Sant Pura Danna Trust organised Mahan Gurmat Samagam in loving memory of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna

JAMMU: Under the patronage of Sant Tejwant Singh, the Sant Pura Danna Trust organized a Grand Gurmat Samagam at Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Machine Domana, Jammu, in sacred memory of Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna. This annual event honors the profound legacy of Sant Gurbaksh Singh, who played a pioneering role in establishing the revered dera in Jammu and was instrumental in settling migrant populations during the partition of 1947 in different areas of Jammu.

The Gurmat Samagam witnessed overwhelming participation from a large number of devotees from various regions, who gathered to pay their respects and seek spiritual blessings. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ravinder Singh and Simranjeet Singh, Hazoori Ragi Jathas from Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar. Their soul-stirring Kirtan uplifted the spiritual ambiance, leaving the congregation deeply moved.

In addition to the mesmerizing Kirtan, renowned religious preachers delivered enlightening discourses, sharing the teachings and values cherished by Sant Gurbaksh Singh. The Katha Vachaks and Parcharks included Harpinder Singh, Mission Incharge J&K deputed by SGPC, Gurmeet Singh Jammu, Balwant Singh, and others. The event served as a profound reminder of Sant Gurbaksh Singh selfless service and dedication to spreading the message of Gurbani.
Prominent personalities present at the Samagam included Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister, Satish Sharma cabinet Minister for Food, Civil supplies & consumer affairs, transport , science & technology, information technology, youth services & sports, ARI & training, Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President NC, Divyani Rana Vice President BJP Youth leader, Gurmukh Singh, Former Minister; Ajay Sadhotra, Former Minister; Sat Paul Sharma, BJP President J&K; Ravinder Raina, Senior BJP Leader; Charanjeet Singh Khasa, Ex-MLC; Ranjit Singh Tohra, President DGPC Jammu; Balvinder Singh, Vice President DGPC; Surjit Singh, Secretary DGPC; Karan Singh Bali Master Ranver Singh and Avtar Singh Members DGPC; Jatinder Singh Lucky; Surinder Singh, Advocate; and Navjot Singh Nalwa. A large number of parents of school children from SGSD International and members of the management committee, including Ravinder Kour, Tejinder Singh Wazir , Tajinder Singh Kaku Balwinder Singh, and others, were also present. Notably, Gurcharan Singh Bagi, deeply involved with the dera, had specially flown in from the USA to participate in the Samagam and was honored by the dera.
Baldev Singh, CEO of Peaks Group and Trustee of Sant Pura Danna Trust, provided detailed information about SGSD International School and Gurmat Vidyalaya Marh Bagh. Manpreet Kour, who recently qualified as a KAS officer, was honored alongside Rajni Sharma, the daughter-in-law of the late Balwant Rai, who had donated the land for the Gurudwara and the school.
Sant Tejwant Singh expressed gratitude to all the devotees, especially the group from Sri Ganganagar, and all the sewadars who arranged stalls for the devotees Manjit Singh, Administrator of SGSD International School, conducted the stage proceedings.
