JAMMU: Sanskar Organization in collaboration with Samprati Jammu on Sunday released a book titled ‘Dainik Achaaranas / Rituals and their Religious and Social Implications’ complied by H.N Tiku, a social activist and founder Sanskar Organization at a function held here.
Speaking on the occasion, Tiku felt that there is a strong need to campaign for revival of Sanskrit Language especially amongst our children and budding youths to enable them to follow the Hindu religion in right perspective.
The programme was presided over by Dr. K.L Chowdhary, a noted doctor as well as a literary scholar. Other luminaries in the presidium were Dr Susheel Razdan, neurologist, Dr. Rattan Lal Shant and K.K Khosa, President K.P Sabha.
Prof Shant, lauding the efforts of H.N Tiku in bringing out a book on rituals, said that youngsters should be aware of all these rituals and Sanskars mentioned in the book.
Dr. K.L Chowdhary exhorted that Hinduism is not only a way of life but religion as well. We should be proud of it as it encompasses spiritual, scientific moral values and knowledge and we should pass on the health traditions and Sanskars, he added.
Dr. Sujata Sathoo conducted the proceedings and two papers about the book and its compiler were read by Vijay Wali and Satish Koul ‘Safeer’.
Prof Dr. R.L Shant was falicitated on the occasion by H.N Tiku for his life long contribution to professional and social fields.
Some of the noted writers who attended the function include Ashok Gowhar, Vice President Samprati, P.N Trisal, Pyara Hatash, Rajinder Agoish, Kundan Paras, M.K Wafadar, P.N Shad, K.L Pardesi and Ramesh Aagor. Eminent doctors who graced the occasion Dr. M.K Mam, Dr. L Kachroo, Dr. C Tiku and Dr. T.K Moza.
