SANJY-2024: DIG JSK Range reviews security arrangements in Base Camp

JAMMU: Dr. Sunil Gupta, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range accompanied by Dr. Vinod Kumar, SSP Jammu, conducted a security review of Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu for forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2024.
During the review, DIG JSK Range inspected the Guards deployed in and around the Base Camp, enroute checking, CCTV Cameras installed, Parking area, etc.
Dr. Sunil Gupta, imparted the necessary directions to SSP Jammu for making foolproof security arrangements in and around the venue.
Besides, necessary briefing has also been given to the officers/Nafri deployed on the venue with regard to the sensitivity and nature of duty. They were directed to remain extra alert on their points. SSP Jammu was also directed to brief the Nafri on regular basis. Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthen all the Nakas especially during night hours. They were also directed to identify places where more nakas can be established for the security of yatris. Strategies to manage the expected high influx of pilgrims, including traffic regulation and emergency response measures, adequate medical facilities, emergency services, and disaster management plans to address health-related issues and emergencies during the Yatra were also reviewed.
SP North Jammu, DySP Hqrs Jammu, SHO Nowabad and Incharge Police Post Canal were also present on the venue.
