JAMMU: The government on Monday appointed Sanjeev Verma, a 2001 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Jammu and Kashmir.
“In pursuance of notification No. 154/J&K/2025-P.Admn dated May 29, 2025, issued by the Election Commission of India, Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001), is appointed as Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir,” reads an order issued by M Raju, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department.
“Sanjeev Verma, IAS shall also be Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Election Department,” it stated.
