Sanatan values, traditions receiving global recognition under Modi regime: Priya Sethi

JAMMU: A grand programme was organised at Sitaram Mandir, Purani Mandi, Jammu, to mark International Women’s Day, where women belonging to the Sanatan community gathered in large numbers to celebrate the occasion and highlight the role of women in preserving cultural and spiritual values.
The event was organised by Savita Anand and Kiran Gupta, who arranged a vibrant gathering of women from different walks of life. The programme aimed to honour the strength, contribution and spiritual role of women in society while also promoting the cultural heritage of Sanatan traditions.
The event was attended by MLA Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi, BJP J&K Vice President and former Minister Priya Sethi, and BJP Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta, along with several prominent members of the community and devotees.
Addressing the gathering, Priya Sethi extended her greetings to the women present and highlighted the importance of empowering women while preserving the rich cultural heritage of Sanatan Dharma.
She appreciated the efforts being made to bring women together on such occasions and stressed that women have always played a vital role in strengthening social and cultural traditions.
Priya Sethi also appreciated the initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting the values and heritage of Sanatan culture at both national and international levels. She stated that under his leadership, India’s spiritual traditions, yoga, and cultural practices have received global recognition and respect.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken several initiatives to promote Sanatan values and Indian cultural heritage across the world. Through various global platforms and cultural outreach programmes, India’s spiritual traditions are gaining the recognition they truly deserve,” she said.
She further added that women have always been the backbone of Sanatan culture, playing a crucial role in preserving traditions, values and moral teachings within families and society.
She said that under Modi’s leadership over the past 11 years, India has reclaimed pride in its cultural, spiritual and civilizational heritage.
She cited the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya after a wait of over 550 years, the development of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the restoration of pilgrimage centres such as Mahakaleshwar Temple as examples of the Modi Govt’s commitment to Sanatan traditions.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Yudhvir Sethi also highlighted the importance of women empowerment and acknowledged the contributions of women in shaping a progressive society. He encouraged women to continue participating actively in social, cultural and community activities.
He also appreciated the organisers for arranging such a meaningful programme that celebrated both women empowerment and cultural values.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from women of the Sanatan community, who came together to celebrate the spirit of womanhood and cultural unity.
The organisers, Savita Anand and Kiran Gupta, expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests and participants for making the event successful.
