salman khanJodhpur:- Hearing in a case of Arms Act violation involving Salman Khan was adjourned today till May 7 after the defence counsel sought another chance to produce a witness to prove the actor was innocent.

During his appearance in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (Jodhpur) on March 10, Khan had pleaded innocence and alleged that he had been framed by the forest department.

“I had no arms with me and they were brought here from Mumbai after the forest department officials asked me to do so,” Khan had argued in the court.

After this, the court had given him a chance to prove his innocence by producing any evidence or witness in the court today.

Additional Public Prosecutor Upendra Sharma said the prosecution has completed all its arguments and now defence has been given a chance to prove innocence of Khan.

“Today they sought more time to produce evidence or witness in defence of Khan, after which the court adjourned the matter till May 7,” said Sharma.

Khan has been accused under section 3/25 and 3/27 of Arms Act for using weapons with expired licence during alleged poaching of antelopes.
