UDHAMPUR: In a surprise move, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Jib visited number of Govt. schools to inspect the presence of teaching staff.
He paid surprise visit at Govt. Middle School Lower Thanoa, Govt. Primary School Bapli, Govt. Middle School Vishal and Govt. Primary School Chari Swail.
During GMS Lower Thanoa, he found five teachers including a contractual teacher absent from duty. While at GPS Bapli daily register was not maintained properly and it was found that one teacher was on causal half day leave while remaining staff was present.
Taking cognisance ZEO withheld one month salary of Oct. 2014 for playing truancy.
