SRINAGAR: Minister for Social Welfare Sakina, who is of one day tour of Noorabad Constituency of Kulgam District, inaugurated headquarters of two administrative units at Mizgan and DK Marg, the other day.
The CD Block headquarter Mizgam would function from Panchayat building Mizgam, while as she also inaugurated CD Block at DK Marg.
Addressing the public gatherings, Sakina maintained that the present government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken various steps for fulfilling the commitments made with the people, adding that creation and functioning of these administrative units is one among them.
The minister said that a wide network of road communication has been constructed to provide road connectivity in every nook and corner of Noorabad Constituency under PMGSY during the present regime, besides provision of electricity under RGGVY and construction of buildings for schools and hospitals.
Sakina directed the concerned for completion of construction work on Hallan road, being executed under PMGSY, for the convenience of the people. She also directed the concerned for completing assessment of damages caused to property and crops due to recent rains and devastating floods so that the affected could be compensated accordingly. She also asked the officers for taking pro-active approach in mitigating the peoples’ problems.
