NAGROTA: On the second day of the ongoing North Zone Inter Sainik Schools Sports Meet 2015 being hosted by Sainik School Nagrota, the hosts scored a thumping 2-0 win over Sainik School Ghorakhal in Hockey while in sub-junior football the latter maintained their domination with a 2-0 win over Sainik School Sujanpur Tira.
The current Inter Zonal Champions in Volleyball, Sainik School Kunjpura proved their mettle consecutively by defeating Sainik School Sujanpur Tira in their second league match 25-18, 25-13, 25-23 although they had to face some nervous moments in the third set.
However their Basketball team bulldozed Sainik School Kapurthala by 82-48.
The morning matches of 10th June went mostly in favour of Sainik School Kunjpura as they won Hockey 2-0 and Sub-junior Football 2-0 against Sainik School Sujanpur Tira and Nagrota respectively.
In their first Basketball league match, the hosts Sainik School Nagrota defeated Sainik School Sujanpur Tira by 62-33.
On the literary front, Cadet Dhananjay Jasrotia of Sainik School Nagrota stood first in the North Zone Inter Sainik School English Debate Competition–2015 and Cadet Shubeg Singh of Sainik School Kapurthala stood second.
Col K.D Koushal, Principal graciously got the presentation of prizes done by his former teacher at BSF Senior Secondary School, Jammu, Jawahar Ali, Guest of Honour who was a member of the jury in the debate competition.
